The outfielder was instrumental for the Astros claiming the championship in the 2017 season.
Toronto's Blue Jays reached their first World Series after 1993 by overcoming the Mariners in the seventh Game 7 of the AL Championship Series.
Behind three runs to one, the star outfielder smashed a three-run homer in the seventh, guiding the only Canadian franchise in Major League Baseball to a 4-3 series victory in the series. Awaiting them are the Dodgers, the team that is the defending champions, in the upcoming World Series.
"I'm just so happy for our team, our city, our country," commented Springer, a key player of the Houston Astros team that won the 2017 World Series. "It's truly an amazing experience."
The veteran has now slugged twenty-three post-season home runs, ranking him third in history behind Manny Ramirez (twenty-nine) and Jose Altuve (twenty-seven).
"There's probably not anyone else on planet Earth that I want up in that moment except for George Springer with his playoff prowess," noted Schneider.
Seattle's team, despite leading the series two games to none and three games to two, remain the sole team never to appear in a Fall Classic.
Mariners manager Dan Wilson stated "without a doubt that it's painful" in the wake of his side's defeat at Toronto's Rogers Centre, but praised their performance this season.
"They're an exceptional squad. It's a shame that we finished on the wrong side of this game," he continued.
Toronto's team secured the World Series on their two prior appearances in 1992 and '93, and will welcome the Los Angeles in game one on Friday.
