Loyal supporters of the pop star are calling for that a man who breached a barricade and touched the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or deported from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the Australian man bypassing media personnel and lunging at Grande while the cast walked down a yellow carpet accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "released after being detained", though legal records showed that he was set to attend court on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed features recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney show in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote one more response on Instagram.

Several supporters also criticised guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while some demanded social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.
