Netflix Casts Spot-On Performer for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Season 3
Baroque Works is set to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash won’t unfold until the next season, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has just been cast.
The streaming service revealed Tuesday that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay possesses the power to morph into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The performer, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that figure reinterpreted as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action show, as in the original manga and anime.
The new cast member will work alongside several other recently announced actors set to bring the group to the screen, such as chief the main antagonist, played by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of Alabasta.
Though Bon Clay is a important part of the group, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. With the next season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this marks a major departure in the placement of their first appearance, one that could indicate more adjustments to the plot development.
Their mix of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the character. In addition to their current animated role in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10, 2026.
